Paradise Ave Traffic Calming Measures Survey

Public Works Department
July 19, 2019

In response to concerns about speeding vehicles on Paradise Avenue, the Town of Middletown hired traffic engineer consultants from Pare Engineering to prepare recommendations and safety improvements that would calm the traffic down on Paradise Avenue.

On Tuesday, June 4, 2019, Town officials and Pare Consultants met with area residents to present safety improvement recommendations and to address residents’ concerns and questions. As a follow-up to this meeting, the Town is mailing this survey to households along Paradise Avenue in order to receive feedback on which traffic calming measures would be a good fit for their neighborhood. Pare Engineering recommends the installation of speed tables and speed feedback signs along Paradise; these improvements would be located in a way that would not negatively impact the residents’ use of their property.
